Machy Days
Machy Days is an annual spring tradition that brings together the Panhellenic Council and Interfraternity Council in a week-long celebration of community, philanthropy, and friendly competition. Each year, chapters participate by partnering with another chapter and developing a unique subtheme connected to the overall theme. In Spring 2026, the theme was "Gopher the Gold," with proceeds benefiting Special Olympics. Throughout the week, paired chapters showcased their creativity by designing themed banners and participating in a variety of events that promoted collaboration and campus engagement.
One of the week's highlights was a baseball/softball event held in partnership with Gopher Athletics. Members from each team participated in a Home Run Derby Competition at Janes Sages Cowle Stadium. Chapters also participated in Pi a Prez, a Philonthropy event, which helped raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics. The week concluded in Ballyhoo, a spirited dance competition in which each chapter pairing created and performed an original routine inspired by their subtheme. Through philanthropy, teamwork, and tradition, Machy Days continues to strengthen the bonds between the Panhellenic and Interfraternity communities while making a meaningful impact on the broader community.
