Welcome to our community - active on the UMN-Twin Cities campus since 1874. It is a privilege for us in the Office for Fraternity & Sorority Life to advocate for approximately 3,000 students who are members of one of nearly 55 fraternities and sororities on campus.
Membership in a fraternity or sorority is an experience unlike any other in college. Students instantly make a large community smaller and build meaningful relationships that last a lifetime. Students join a network that extends far beyond the Twin Cities and engage with leadership development curriculum and programming from the early stages of membership.
Not surprisingly, the Greek community produces a higher grade point average than the campus average and, annually, our community raises upward of $250,000 for local and national charitable organizations, while donating tens of thousands of service hours to local causes and organizations.
There is a place for everyone in our community, so ask questions and explore. Our belief in the value of this experience contributes to our relentless pursuit of shepherding students through the intake and recruitment processes to find their fit in our community. Please do not hesitate to let us know what we can do to help.
